Different Ways of Brewing Your Coffee
Plunger
- keep your plunger clean - wash and rinse after each use- dismantle plunger parts when washing
- preheat your plunger before brewing coffee in it
- grind coarse enough so that plunging isn't difficult after allowing the coffee a minute to steep
- after adding water to the ground coffee, stir and replace the plunger but do not plunge yet. Depress the plunger after two minutes of steeping
Drip Filter
- wash and rinse the pot after each use- wash and rinse the gold mesh
- discard used paper filters
- periodically descale your drip filter
- although the hot plate keeps the pot warm this does not mean you can keep the pot there all day!
- Only brew however much coffee is needed at the time and consume immediatel
Stovetop Moka Pot
- wash and rinse all the parts of your moka pot after each use- periodically replace the rubber gasket
Vacuum Brewer
- wash and rinse all the parts of your vacuum brewer after each use taking extra care as the components are glass- as the water makes its way to the top bowl making contact with the coffee and filling up halfway, stir with a wooden spoon
